| Hi Guys,
We expected a really good SHOT Show, but we
certainly didn’t anticipate the level of REALLY GOOD S.H.O.T. SHOW that we
had. I think we’ll need to add about four weeks to our lead times once we
get the orders all entered. Don and Jay are still at the Buyers Club shows
and we’ll be at IWA in mid-March. This year is feeling better and better
from a business perspective but it may bode ill for lead times.
I wish that I could tell you that one or
another of the new (or even old) products stole the show, but I really
can’t. All of the previously introduced product was appropriately
appreciated and the entire new product line was immediately embraced by the
segment of the market that the product was designed to impress. The
"concealed carry" crowd loved the Rogue,
the "speed shooters" were all over the
SteelMaster, the "really
into cool 1911’s" group were very pleased with the
Sentinel Premier,
and the knowledgeable SASS style shooters (and everyone who really
appreciates fine machinery) were overwhelmed by the
Texican.
Unfortunately, the
GP6 didn’t make to the show. As reported
previously, we now have the BATF approval to import the
GP6 so that we can submit it to the BATF
for their approval to import it! The ball is now in the court of the
Slovakian version of our State Department. Sure seems like a never ending
cycle sometimes but we’ll have them at IWA.
At S.H.O.T. we set up a fishbowl in the
booth. If you tossed in a business card, you were eligible to win a free
Spartan. The winner of that
drawing was John Allchin. Further particulars on request.
Remember, we’ll be doing the same deal for
each of the buyers’ exhibitions that we’ll be at and the guys are at one on
those right now. As I said before; "But wait, there’s more!" If you
are not attending the shows, send a card
here to the factory and we’ll do a separate drawing (if you’re not
entered, you can’t win) for another
Spartan on March 28th.
The new 2008 price list is complete, the
new 2008 Catalog is complete, and
several interim updates (especially new articles) have been made to the
website with more being made daily.
If you’ve just recently signed up to be on
the STI mailing list and this is the first time you’ve received a
SkinnErgram, you may want to go to the
website and catch up.
New Domestic Distributor: "American
Shooters Edge" in Brunswick, GA. That published author, law enforcement
trainer, and Grandmaster shooter, "Sam Conway", is the CEO of this
organization. Based on his stocking order, he’s serious.
I’m going to cut this one abnormally short
so I can go help the sales gang enter orders. If yours isn’t in yet, you’re
falling further behind.
See ya’ at IWA Booth #
3-136, March 14-17
Sell a bunch. Have fun. Do good. Not necessarily in that order! |
