| Our SHOT Show
booth is # 3989 and our IWA booth is # 3-131.
As is normal, we’ll have a “Special Guest” in
our SHOT Show booth. Any of you who feel that STI doesn’t offer enough
products need to stop by and meet these folks. You could be, literally,
“blown away” by their exhibited items.
First, we had the
“Quote from last time: ”We have produced a
couple new prototypes this year. Both are “shorty” race guns. One has only a
3.9” slide and is chambered in .38Super. (It almost fits in the “Modified”
box.) The other is a 4.15” model chambered in 9mm.
Then we had the update:
Both now have 3.9” slides! We got a large enough order from one of you to go
into production. Now we have the “rest of the
story”! Four new guns, total, for 2004! You’ll find them
listed and described later in this communication. We should have them at
SHOT. We’ll, hopefully, have literature.
December has “ripped us a new one”!
We’re booked beyond the end of January and the phones are still ringing off
their hooks! Not only that, but the safes have been drained of product. All
of the extra guns we got ahead in the third and fourth quarters went in the
last couple of weeks. (We were over the hundred point and climbing.) During
the first quarter of ’04 we will be adding people in Sales, Q.C., Materials,
Machining, Gunsmithing, Documentation, and Assembly, probably as many as a
dozen. Next year should be as exciting as last was. Much of our 2004 “Travel
Schedule” will have to go by the wayside. We’ve got too much to do here!
We’ll still be at the Shows, just less matches and exhibitions.
REMEMBER! We’re closed from Dec.
20th until Jan. 5th. The phones will have the normal “Kemble Holiday Wishes”
and no one will be answering them. The only folks who will be in the
area will be the guys who are moving, installing, leveling, wiring, and
firing up the equipment that we’re moving in from (what was) Lone Star
Armament. Some of it will fit into the current space and we’ve prepped
another 4,000 sq. ft. for the rest of it.
The new catalog will NOT be ready in
time for the Shows. We’ll simply add a “New Products” and “Changes” insert!
Our jacket supplier has apparently lied us to - no new jackets soon.
This was the quote
from #60: Other than the “shorty” guns
mentioned above and the LSA carryovers, we have nothing on the drawing board
as new developments for next year. We’re open to suggestions from you guys
