Hi Guys,
The proposed “IPSC 30 th Anniversary” pistol is back from the hardchromers'.
It's done! We'll have it available at the GA in Bali . Pretty standard, but
pretty kewl! (Unless we hear something to the contrary from the IPSC “powers
that be”, we'll probably post a picture on our website soliciting your
input.)We're caught up! Back to our
standard lead times! Three to six weeks, depending on product. We are now
ramped up to produce almost 250% of what we were able to produce last year
at this time. The goal now is to get approximate three hundred of the most
popular models in the safe to sell from stock. It'll take a while, but I
think we can get there. We still choose to leave the “Custom Shop” closed
for a period to buy us “breathing room” to accomplish that.
We weathered the “assault ban magazine
crunch” pretty well. We started increased productions in about June and were
in good shape at lapse time.
Of the six potentially new product lines
that we launched in preparation for the Shot Show, one has bitten the dust
already. The “Economy model” Trojan will not be pursued. There are just too
many other large companies coming out with 1911's to make it worth our
while.
We have lots of new apparel available now.
It's not on the website or price lists yet, but should be there soon. We've
got new shirts for WOMEN AND GIRLS (S,M,&L only) and new jackets that are of
the same color combination as the old (but a different, bolder, pattern).
Most of you have gotten your preliminary
“2005 Price List”. Prices are good but we may still juggle “Options” a
little.
The folks who are installing the new
software systems are currently running their first “tracking by bar code”
tests. So far, so good.
Well, it's that time of year again. Time
for everybody to look at your sales numbers and see if you will retain your
current discounts (some of you are close to low end that will move you down
a column), qualify for better deals (some of you are VERY close to moving
up), or reorder to handle the “after the Shot Show” rush (remember, it was
that rush that lengthened our lead times so dramatically last year). If you
have any questions about where you're at, at this point, please get in touch
with your normal contact here.
Again, if any of you in Asia need “face
time”, Pauletta and I (and Mike Voigt) will be at the Thai Level III and the
Bali Level IV in just a couple of weeks. Just let us know.
Just a couple of reminders: Our factory
minimum order will go up from $250.00 to $500.00 as of January 3, 2005 ,
and;
Our Holiday closure schedule this year will
be from December 23, 2004 until January 3, 2005 . We'll not be here to
answer the phones, or ship, during that period.
Sell a bunch. Have fun. Do
good. Not necessarily in that order!
