Hi Guys,
The proposed "IPSC 30th Anniversary" pistol was well received by the GA in
Bali. They, and some of the shooters there, had some pretty good ideas that
will further enhance the looks and function of the unit. We’ll keep you
posted on the progress of it’s approval.
Quote from last time: "We're caught up! Back to our standard lead times!
Three to six weeks, depending on product. We are now ramped up to produce
almost 250% of what we were able to produce last year at this time. The goal
now is to get approximate three hundred of the most popular models in the
safe to sell from stock." Check out the inventory page on the website. We’re
on our way to getting that stock re-established. We still choose to leave
the "Custom Shop" closed ‘til we’re there.
Quote from last time: "Of the six potentially new product lines that we
launched in preparation for the Shot Show, one has bitten the dust already."
It looks like all of the others will make it and be shown there to get
"industry opinion". Two of them may not survive the decision making process
to launch them into production, though. While they shoot very well, (and do
have an applicable market) I consider one of them to be "butt ugly" and the
other to be from the same gene pool.
New decision on the "2005 Product Line Up": The "Wasp" and the "Hornet" will
disappear. No reintroduction. When they’re gone, they’re gone.
Quote from last time: "Most of you have gotten your preliminary "2005 Price
List". Prices are good but we may still juggle "Options" a little." I’m
still working on the "option juggle", but in the process of so doing found a
couple math errors on the "Preferred Dealer Program" price list for the
"Ranger II" and the "Trojan". These will be rectified by the time we
publish. Again, it’s just on the two guns and just on the "PDP" price list.
Well, it's that time of year again. Last
chance to "make your numbers". Most of you have "just blown the doors off"
of your previous years tally. Thanks to you all, we should end the year up
35-40%. We’ll keep you posted.
A great time was had and great business was
done in Thailand and Bali earlier this month. Many thanks to all of you who
greased the way for us.
Factory update: Most of you know that we added two more large CNC machines
after the acquisition of Lone Star Armament and all of their equipment last
November. This month we are adding three more large CNC’s, another very
large "Wire EDM" machine, and a YAG Laser Engraver. This brings the thirteen
month investment in additional equipment to just over $1,200,000.00. What
else can we do to make your lives better?
Sad announcement: It is with great regret that we announce the retirement of
"Ace Domestic Customer Serviceperson", Melvin Cobb. He will be sorely missed
by all of the "inside team" as well as those of you whom he has served so
well. Saaaluuuuuuute!
Glad announcement: The new addition (nobody can replace Melvin) to the sales
team will be Ms. Lori Kestel. Lori is not a new comer to the industry and
will be well understudied by Melvin before his departure and well nurtured
by Pauletta, Dave C., Don, and John.
Just a couple of reminders (again): Our factory minimum order will go up
from $250.00 to $500.00 as of January 3, 2005 , and; Our Holiday closure
schedule this year will be from December 23, 2004 until January 3, 2005 .
We'll not be here to answer the phones, or ship, during that period.
Do good. Sell a bunch. Have fun. Not necessarily in that order!
