Hi Guys,
There’s just too much happening to wait a full month or more for an
Sgram. Here’s something quick to keep news from
getting stale.
In reference to the
impending change in the Contingency Program for 2007: Tech Wear, the
same people who did the USPSA Team shirts for the World Shoot has asked for,
and been granted, a license to use the STI logo on shirts that they
manufacture. You’ll be able to buy STI style team shirts directly from them,
as well as us, soon.
That’s all! No more! As the
last three "BLS's"s leave the plant today, we mark the date that "they
are gone"! (and, maybe, collector’s items?) The "LS
series lives on.
Purple Grips are gone, too.
We’re not making any more of those either. Just conserving inserts.
Just a little forewarning:
as popular as our newest models of pistols are, we may suspend or even
discontinue the Model 2200 rifle.
Not because it is not popular or not selling, but just because it’s "odd
item out" in our manufacturing flow. We are still discussing this and are
open to input from you guys.
We’re wiped out on .40S&W
barrel forgings for the "TruSight"
guns. All sold much quicker than we expected. More forgings are on order but
some of you will not be getting as many of these as quickly as you expected.
Congratulations to the gang
at Dawson Precision for being the most recent member of the "STI Million
Dollar Club". Saluuuuuute!
We have created a "Legacy"!
Within 48 hours of posting a picture of this one on the website (without any
description or indication of price) we took orders for almost forty units.
We have no reason to believe that this will slow down. They are beautiful
and, as near as we can tell, are $500-700.00 less expensive that other "big
name" 1911 makers comparable models.
We have decided to offer
the STI "Tactical Adjustable" sights (the one on the "Legacy")
for sale. Tritium will be available within the month. Other than on the "Legacy",
the "Tactical", and the "Trojan
SS", however, we do not plan to offer this sight on any other firearm.
We do not plan to offer the
PVD coating, the finish on the "Legacy",
on any other gun. It is not an inexpensive process and would add a couple of
extra weeks to the delivery of a gun.
Well, I warned you in the
last Sgram that it was time to get your stocking
orders in. One customer just bought every long dust cover, .40S&W gun that
we had in the safe. All the Edges,
Executives,
Tacticals, IPSC "30th’s" and "Unique
slide" Eagles. If your order is not
in the pipeline yet, Dec. 20th is the next open slot and our folks are
filling it fast. As a reminder, also, the SHOT Show is on the horizon and
that means that we will have to put exhibition guns in the production
schedule too. I think that I noted in the last Sgram
that lead-time would be going out again. Get in line now!
Because of the magnitude of
the current order influx, the number of new products we’ve introduced, and
the new foreign countries that we are getting Export Permits for, we have
redone the "re-do" on the Range Program. It’s discontinued! The
administration time and expense just do not make it worthwhile compared to
our other Programs.
Do good. Sell a bunch. Have
fun. Not necessarily in that order! |
