STI -- SkinnErgram #87

April 20, 2006 SkinnErgram #87

Hi Guys,

This will be a short one so that I can get it out quickly as a reminder to those few of you U.S. Distributors who sell mostly to other Dealers, but sometimes to a non-FFL holder. As of April 24, 2006 , the law requires you to provide some type of locking mechanism with the sale of any firearm that does not have an internal locking device. Don't let it bite you.

Correction to Sgram #86: Pauletta and I will not be back in Philipsburg , Germany June 2-4 at the “STI European Open Championship”. As you may have noticed, our factory lead times have moved out significantly. We feel that we can be of more service to you guys by remaining “in-house” and helping the focus on this condition. We do personally regret this need because we always enjoy this trip.

In attempting to deal with our state of delivery arrears, several of you have placed “blanket orders” for delivery on a monthly basis in addition to those orders that you place as customer needs arise. Production Scheduling has asked that if you do not want any chance of an early shipment (i.e. the chance that you might get Septembers' shipment in August), that you specify “not before” to your Sales Contact.

As I mentioned last time, the need to increase the charge for hard-chromed guns has arisen. Effective with new orders May 1, 2006 all standard hard-chromed guns will be $30.00 higher than currently listed.

To all of you new folks who have signed on recently: Welcome! Prior issues of this marketing missive can be found on our website. Enjoy!

Do good. Sell a bunch. Have fun. Not necessarily in that order!
